Hello (again) - Throwback Thursday to the Orignal iMac! ⏪Remember those Bondi Blue beauties? The first Apple iMacs (released in 1998) came pre-loaded with some fun and quirky software, taking us all on a journey into the early days of home computing.
Who remembers these gems?
* MDK: A wacky first-person shooter filled with mutant dogs and flying cows!
* Nanosaur: Stomp around prehistoric landscapes with Nanosaur. Nanosaur is a science fiction third-person shooter video game developed by Pangea Software and published by Ideas From the Deep for Mac OS 9
* Kai’s Power Goo: Get creative and messy with this digital painting program – the original version of finger painting on a Macintosh!
The first iMac ran a revolutionary new operating system called Mac OS 8. No more complex drop-down menus – the friendly desktop interface with its colorful icons made navigating your computer a breeze.
While web browsing wasn’t quite what it is today, the iMac came equipped with Internet Explorer. Connecting to the internet back then felt like traveling to a whole new world! Remember the sound of the 56k modem? ☎️
Did you own an original iMac?
